Cassandre, the eye split by a deepfaked power. An overcrowded anger dancing on a tipping point for the last everything.
Cassandre, the eye split by a deepfaked power. An overcrowded anger dancing on a tipping point for the last everything.
She was an ordinary woman until she felt something growing in her gut. A frightening and clear vision was born, trapped deep inside her body. Then, she frozed as dozens of repressives arms struck.
The hit that split her eye was the proof for everybody that her prophecy could be trusted. But this spectacular event changed her point of view and now, she knew that her previous vision was wrong. She had become the icon of an idea that she knew to cover only a tiny part of the field of possibilities.
These men who had disfigured her were actually the visible part of a monster with many blurred faces. A monster known to have an infinite amount of invisible hands used to manipulate even the most intimate emotions.
When her eyesight partially came back, they were all there. Alike and incompatible people, jostling to seize a moment of truth. She felt that she now had to play her role, or else she would be torn into pieces by words uttered behind teeth.
As she starts to dance, they all follow her in a growing circle, released from each other’s gaze. They are there all together, sharing the same wavelength, disconnected from everything else.
They succumb one last time to carelessness, ankle-deep in sweat and blood. One last time, they claim superstition and uncertainty. It's on the founding day that they will finally utter their first word together.
